WhereNet supplies a single wireless infrastructure that supports a marine terminal's needs for wireless LAN communication, position determination of containers and equipment, and RFID processing of vehicles at gates. WhereLAN is an integrated solution that simultaneously and seamlessly provides Real Time Location System(RTLS) position determination of tagged active RFID devices on the terminal, and RFID processing at the gates and at equipped Container Handling Equipment (CHE). WhereNet provides a software layer (MTS) that automatically detects container transitions between various CHE and updates the Terminal Operating System with the new location of the container. Only WhereNet offers such a combined solution that is proven to meet the demanding needs of container terminals including slot level accuracy, resistance to multipath effects, and an unambiguous and reliable identification of tagged vehicles transiting the terminal gates. WhereNet also offers an e-Seal solution that uses our ANSI-compliant, active RFID, RTLS technology in use at ports and logistics facilities throughout the world. We will be adding new application links like we have in automotive shortly.
